LAST NIGHT AT NSI

We started off working our hubud drill to develop sensitivity at close at medium range and to look at a way of defending circular strikes where the energy is too much to simply static block. However, you can look at it like a static block and then moving the limb and trapping it. It's all about interoperation in the art. From there we looked at trying to pick up a lock from the drill and then looked at some specific combat sets. We looked at using our trapping as a method of crossing the gap safely and then worked some of our kickboxing. Last night the emphasis was on closing the gap and then either locking to control or to go back to our kickboxing syllabus. Great effort from everyone there!
