This week we are going to focus on kicking. Given that Michael has a good thai background I had him take the guys through some kicking and dynamic stretching drills. From there we looked at defending from a hooking punch and utilising round kicks as we escaped from the situation. We then looked at intercepting with kicks and then entering into clinch range. Remember if you can kick high in class with power then think how much power you can deliver on the low line outside if required in a self defence situation. Michael stressed to the guys that you won't have time to stretch when it kicks off. Also outside there are uneven surfaces, it can be slippy. So kicking will be the theme for the week in KM.
