At the Combat Ready Gym we specialise in Krav Maga and CrossFit training. Krav Maga is an Israeli self-defense and hand to hand combat system. The system is used globally by civilians like you, the military and law enforcement. CrossFit is the global strength and conditioning phenomenon developed in the US. EVEN IF YOU STUMBLE YOU ARE STILL MOVING FORWARD
Sometimes we have a good week, training and diet are great and then something happens. We might have a good few weeks of solid consistent training and then kids, work, or a night out may seem to set us back. With the diet it might be we haven't prepared our food and are caught out having to buy something or we go for a meal and over indulge. So you can be seen to be taking two steps forward one step back. The main thing is not to give up and just get back into it as soon as you can. Don't beat yourself up and certainly don't give in. If you want something then aim for it and achieve it.
Nothing in life that is worthwhile is easy and sacrifices are going to have to be made. You will feel uncomfortable but that is a good thing as you are growing as a person. Often I feel like I am moving forwards in a lot of areas and then something happens and you have taken a backward step. A momentary weakness and you no longer feel like you are making progress. Life is a journey, most of us are not even half way through ours so we have plenty of time to be great. Make the second half of your life better than the first. The first is where you make your mistakes, learn from them though. Get rid of all the crap and baggage that you are holding onto. Make yourself great in whatever you want to do and understand that every so often you will make a mistake and take a backward step. But if you sprint now instead of stepping you can catch back up.
