LESS IS MORE

"Less is more", now I'm being very general when I say this but it's a great method to use when you start training. It was Bruce Lee who said "I don’t fear the man who practiced 10,000 kicks one time. I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times" Now think about it, how many times have you watched a professional boxing fight? How many times do they hit each other? Compare those statistics with the stand up in a MMA fight, obviously there is other variables in MMA like kicks and grappling but those variables also back up this theory. They don't hit or connect so much because they have so many choices. Boxers hit so well and connect so many times because all they do is jab, cross, upper cut, hook or overhand, they keep it simple. The moto of "keeping it simple" is important when you start anything new. Aim to build good foundations and theres no stopping the structure you could end up with. Michael
