We looked at developing hammer strikes on the pads and then looked at alternative targets on the body to delivers these strikes. Namely the arms and then using a knife hand strike to the neck. The idea behind it was to weaken the limb once we had control of it from a circular attack.
From there we looked further at the knife threats and how we could use the wall to effect a disarm our throw the attacker into it. We learned how to defend various knife treats on the ground looking at controls and counters off of this.
A few people in the class were suffering with lower back pain so I was sticking them on the inversion table. It's fun and a great way to open up the vertebrae. Sometimes its good just to hang from one of the chin bars at the end of a session although the table is far more effective.
