LAST NIGHT AT TACTICAL EDGE EDINBURGH

Last night we warmed up with the kettlebells and then we had some fun playing with the foam bowie trainers. The aim was to warm up, develop speed, timing and accuracy. All transferable skills for our empty hand work. From there we looked at a linking a few motions toegther, a roof, abanico, pass and wing. We worked this in a flow against a stick, then short stick against long stick and finally empty hand against stick. This was to demonstrate that in Tactical Edge the patterns of movement whether empty hand or with a weapon are generally the same. So we don't need to mentally shift gears if there is a weapon involved. To finish the class we trained empty hand against a long impact weapon.
