Tuesday night at Krav Maga Edinburgh

So the first class kicked off with a kettlebell workout that all seemed to enjoy. Not too hard but then it was one of mine so it wasn't particularity easy either!
We kicked off with a game of Zombies. The object for the attackers was to choke the defenders. Good game which homed some of the basics. We then drilled the snap kick and front stomp kick from a standing position. We then rolled that over to the attacker charging towards the defender. This adds another great dimension to our training. From here we then added some of our combatives into a take down.

Combat sports followed on nicely from last weeks class working on our stand up combinations into take down. Finished the class off with a light spar and wrestle.

Advanced class worked kicks just like the first class but this time straight into an aggressive attack. From here we worked front, side back chokes. Threw in some knife defence along with some chokes from the floor. As a reward for the hard working students they got to do the "ring of death" hard style! Some more than others Dominick (I wonder why).

Hope you all enjoyed it! See you Thursday.

  1. A good class indeed, although for some reason it was not until the Advanced class that my awareness kicked in. Must be the weather...

Thoroughly enjoyed the Combat Class, which, thanks to thorough repetition, keeps you sharp just when you need it. Takes time and effort but then again, good to know that you can rely on your fists whenever need be.

    ..Ring of Death ? Refreshing.
