TONIGHT@ KRAV MAGA EDINBURGH

Tactical Edge kicked off with some absolutely punishing conditioning drills. I couldn't praise the guys enough for getting through them. We then concentrated on defending against the five most common attacks in the UK. Mark Davies has a DVD covering all this and it really is essential viewing for any Tactical Edge student. Then on to Krav Maga where the training didn't lose any intensity. Lee introduced the box jump in the middle of the training and each person took their turn to see if they could jump onto the box. This really is a test of explosive power. We then focussed on fighting after we had been struck. So we worked on drills where we were at a serious disadvantage then had to demonsrtate fighting spirit by overcoming the odds and continuing the fight. We then went on to work on tactile sensitivity from a standing a lying down position. We then dealt with straight and circular edged weapon attacks. Fantastic effort guys.

  1. Excellect class on Thursday. You can really see everyone building up on their skillset on weekly basis. Good workout with some fun drills promoting spontaneous movement, although I've messed up the high jump. If you don't quite believe that you can achieve something, the odds are against you right from the beginning. Like they say, strong body requires a strong mind. Then again, maybe it is training which shapes your mind - not the other way around.
    Well...got carried away again ;)

    See you all on Tuesday.
