Thursday at Krav Maga Edinburgh

Women's conditioning and self-defence class concentrated on circuits that involved Kettlebell's and body-weight drills with shuttle runs. Sounds tough and you'd be right! The girls that are coming along regularly are really making a big effort and could challenge most of the guys from the krav maga class when it comes to fitness levels.
I introduced circuits to the class this week to mix things up a Little and they seemed to thrive on that.

Intermediate class kicked off working on elbow strikes in fast succession and breaking the plain. We then went on to cover our straight blast limb destruction from Mark Davies’s Tactical Edge. We worked the drill associated with this then every so often we would either use a pass over or pass through and then a take down. We then finished off with some elbow destruction entries.

The beginners class looked at concepts for surviving on the ground when you have perhaps fallen or been knocked down and are overwhelmed. The emphasis was on survival and not attempting a heel hook as you are being kicked like a coke can by four people. We then started looking at the various ways we can tactically get back to our feet. Good effort by all.

See you next week.
