Thursday at Krav Maga Edinburgh

Last nights class focused on the upcoming grading for students. You still have plenty of time to fine tune those skills that you have already learnt.
We kicked off the class with some bodyweight drills and we really focused on form.
Maintain Proper Form

One of the most common causes of training related injuries is performing bodyweight exercises or other movements without the proper form. That’s why it’s so important to really dial in your technique so that your form is always spot on. Depending on what sport you’re doing, use a mirror, video or have a partner keep an eye on your form so that they can suggest corrections.
Last night we used the training partner as our way of correcting any mistakes in form. This will ensure you get the most out of the exercises that you are performing.

We kicked off with material for all the guys that are going to Level 1, 3 and 4. Everyone seems to be improving week on week but we still are not going in with maximum effort with each attack. The emphasis is on speed and aggression, without this it just reverts back to 2 pals messing around. If your partner is wearing full protection then make sure you connect. That way you know you are hitting the right target.

See you all next week.
