Tonight after the warm up I asked the guys to get their hoodies, jackets, scarves and hats on to before we started our striking curriculum on the pads. From there, we looked at how the wrist grab releases don't work when we are wearing jackets which we tend to do in Scotland. Therefore, we need to look at the releases you would use with a Gi unless we just go straight into our striking curriculum. We looked at how we can use clothing to easily manipulate and move an opponent. We looked at defending a headbutt and then did this with the defender against the wall. We looked at how we can use the wall as an environmental tool and also how we can use human behaviour to make our counter strikes more effective. You really had to be at class to get this skill set.

  1. Sounds interesting and great that you. Are getting creative with your attacks. It is really important simulating different angles of attacks
