Tonight we kicked the class off with a little bit of skipping and kettlebell action. We went through the swing, squat and upright rows. With this we added bodyweight exercises along with the "around the world" team circle. To add a little spice I introduced the wheel which I find always goes down well at this class.
Onto the pads and the combinations flowed really well with some good striking. You just have to remember to use these combinations when we move onto the self defence portion of the class.
From here we separated the class into 2 and the Level 1 students worked on multiple attacks and the newer students looked at chokes and how to finish the attacker off.
