Last night we kicked off with a conditioning class that tested most students. It was a great way to blow some of those cobwebs away. We used kettlebells, skipping ropes, bodyweight drills and the new bags! On the back of that, please bring all bag mitts along to every class! The bags are a great way of conditioning and we wouldn't want you to hurt those delicate hands of yours.
In the krav maga class we focused in on the basics and getting those right! We are always quick to want to move onto new exciting things without actually mastering the basics. We drilled left right cross with our partner pointing out any mistakes made. Once we were happy with this we added a round kick to the end. The defender then moved onto blocking the attack then countering with a round kick.
A quick refresher of the 360 defence and then it was onto knife defence. We explored all outside attacks with the emphasis on pressure on the knife arm and counter with strikes. Always scanning the area for other attackers.
Another good turnout with students and welcome to Kim who came along for her fist lesson. Hope to see you back!
