CONDITIONING WORKSHOP

If you'd asked me to list the folk who would chicken out of a two hour combat conditioning session on a Tuesday Night I could have told you. Yes it was cold, yes it was tough. But hey, that's how we get better. So for those of you who stayed at home in front of the fire watching Eastenders, eating donuts, congratulations, I am sure everything you want will come to you in time.

The rest of us have to work for it. And work for it we did. Last night we covered the gold dust that is mandatory mobility. We took a visit to the Zoo and did a bunch of body weight plyometrics in prep for some pad work. We worked the antagonists muscles to loosen up their counter parts. We ran through 10 push up progressions and half a dozen squats and core drills and finished up with a few rounds of 4 count sparring.

You see, it's simple. All other things being equal, the fitter fighter wins. Conditioning is King. So whilst your losing your lunch don't be surprised to find you are getting your ass kicked by someone who isn't scared of a little hard work...

Thanks to Bart, Jon, Avril, Michael and the others. You are the real deal.
