TACTICAL EDGE ASIAN BLADE SEMINAR

Mark Davies held this seminar on Sunday at Tactical Edge HQ. The day started off covering some of the core drils from the previous skill building seminar held last year. Then it was straight into reverse grip edge in methods. Mark proivided the guys with a fantastic little matrix of movements to deal with incoming attacks. The day took the idea of introducing a weapon in to the fight. It's very unlikely that we will be duelling so the weapon has to be drawn and more often than not this will be in a reverse grip. We also covered the razor fighters grip which we last saw on the Bowie intermediate course when Mark demonstrated how we could use this grip to backcut succesfully with a folder. There were bucket loads of new Tactical Edge material and a fantastic days training. I hope that everyone who attended takes this stuff away and works on it and makes it their own. You paid £25 and got a £1000 worth of instruction easy. If you take the matrix of moves and then add in your own endings then you can train for weeks with this stuff. The truth is we are all out there seeking new stuff when we havent really mastered what we have already been given. This is somthing I have been thinking a lot about recently as I see the TE syllabus growing and developing. It's like being a begginer again and really exciting. Well done to all the guys from Edinburgh who went up.
