Thursday at Krav Maga Edinburgh

The girls class kicked off with a light warm up along with some stretching. We then moved onto the dreaded Lee circuit. The exercises at the work stations are designed to work all the major muscle groups and to cause fatigue so its all down to that "Fighting spirit" within to get you through the course.
The self defence portion we went over some basic stick work and how you could use these moves with the common objects we carry in our everyday lives.

Intermediates have been working on their kicking game and Marcus has been really impressed by the improvements every ones making. We introduced a new kick that everyone seemed to pick up and enjoy! We then went into some close range destruction techniques (elbows at such close range) along with take downs of your choice.

The beginners class we went through a bit of a beasting for the warm up. Kettlebells, bodyweight drills and lots of sprints. This is what separates us from the other Krav Maga clubs out there. We are really pushing you to work your hardest in the warm ups as not only does this condition you physically it brings out that "Fighting Spirit" needed when danger is in your face.

A big thank-you to everyone who has bought a club t-shirt so far! All this money is paid straight back into the club for new equipment and training facilities. We still have some left, so if you need anymore please see Marcus or Lee at the club.

Remember, Tuesdays class is of a different format so please make sure you get along to it and you are not the one who turns up late!

  1. Aye, it was certainly a beasting but well worth it, even after just a few weeks I'm noticing a big improvement in strength in my puny wee torso. Can I apologise for the chemical attack I inflicted on the class last night, I promise to be much more careful in my choice of lunch before next class!
